Sage creates safety for herself and her team wherever she goes. Able to revive fallen friends and stave off forceful assaults, she provides a calm center to a hellish battlefield. This makes a balanced playstyle between a rusher and support class. Anyone who enjoys the thrill of rushing but ensuring your team has the support they need should play this agent.
Sage Overview Infographic
We put together a Sage overview infographic that has the best loadouts, strengths, weaknesses, abilities and info as we currently have during this beta release of Valorant. Make sure to share with your friends and check back here to get the latest updates. This guide is a work in progress and we will keep it as up to date as possible.
Table of Contents
Strengths
Weaknesses
- No damaging abilities.
- Her resurection isn’t quick and leaves her vulnerable.
- Slow Orb can be easily avoidable due to all maps having multiple routes.
- Her heal is effectively a heal over time. It won’t take you to full health instantly.
Sage's Abilities
Healing Orb (Signature)
Healing Orb allows you to heal yourself or friendly players to full health over a few seconds. This creates the ability to help out friendly players in a support role. Healing friendlies can decide the outcome of a game/round by keeping friendlies alive to fight.

Resurrection (Ultimate)
Resurrection allows you to target a friendly corpse and revive them with full health after a short period of time. This is important to use to keep your team up and in the fight to prevent losing the round/game.

Slow Orb
Slow Orb casts out a radianite orb that breaks into a slowing field upon impact with the ground. All caught in the field are slowed, grounded, and make noise when moving. This can be used to create an opportunity to rush enemy players or to slow enemies down and reposition.

Barrier Orb
Barrier Orb conjures a large, solid wall. You can rotate the wall by right-clicking giving you the ability to choose which way you want to deploy the wall. This can be used to block enemy paths and force them to go around or slow them down and force them to shoot and break the wall. This gives your team the opportunity to kill them or at least have them give their position away by trying to break the wall.

Loadout
Rush
Sage is an interestingly balanced agent when it comes to her playstyle. Given her abilities and balanced playstyle, her loadout really depends on what you play. For a rush playstyle the following would work because of the rate of fire and damage output
- Primary – Phantom Rifle or Vandal Rifle
- Secondary – Frenzy Pistol or Ghost Pistol
Reason being, the assault rifles both have a moderate rate of fire with high damage outputs and secondaries that allow you to have a backup that’s reliable. This allows you to be aggressive while being armed with something to back you up.
If playing as a Support playstyle, we recommend that you use the following
- Primary – Ares LMG or Guardian Assault Rifle
- Secondary – Frenzy Pistol or Ghost Pistol
Either of these work great for a support playstyle because the Ares LMG allows you to support your team by laying down fire at the enemy and forcing them to keep them behind cover. On the other hand, if you go with the Guardian assault rifle it creates the ability to support your team by keeping your distance but yet still being effective.
