This League of Legends Season 10 Ultimate Rakan guide is the only guide that you will need in order to play Rakan Support. This guide will include builds, combos, counters, synergies, keystones, and runes.

Rakan is the great Vastayan battle-dancer and troublemaker. He was once wild and free but gained a new purpose through the eyes of Xayah, the love of his life. They joined together to use their magic and harmonically reclaim the power that their people once lost.

This guide was written by our team of writers along with the help of the Challenger player, Strzelba, who is an expert in everything Rakan. He is considered by many to be the best in the world at this champion and you can watch him stream in Twitch.

Rakan Overview Infographic

We put together a Rakan overview infographic that has the best builds, runes, strengths, weaknesses, combos, skill orders, counters, synergies and anything else that you need to quickly learn the basics of Rakan.  Make sure to share with your friends and check back here to get the latest updates.  We will be updating this infographic as changes happen so check back often!

Who is Strzelba

Nathaniel, 21 years of age. Currently playing with the summoner name Strzelba. He has over 2.4 Million mastery points on Rakan and he peaked at 642 LP in Europe West Challenger. With over 3300 games, he has a KDA ratio of 2.83 with a 54% win rate in all his seasons. The first time he played league was when he saw Jayce’s login screen on July 7, 2012. This made him play for a while and stopped. He then revisited the game when he saw Panda Annie skin on February 8 of 2013. In season 3, he ended up in Silver 4 and rose to Platinum 3 in Season 4. Then, for 2 and a half years, he was stuck in Diamond 4 with 0 LP. It all changed when he started playing Zac support with Kalista on Season 7. This turn of events magically paved his way to Challenger. Since then, the top was always there for him to reach.

Strzelba is well known for playing Rakan in almost every role. He dives through multiple enemies and charms them with his awesomeness. Giving the perfect opportunity to his team to follow up and delete them.

Why Play Rakan

Before we start on the Ultimate Guide to Rakan we first want to tell you why you should play him. His overall strengths and weaknesses are as follows:

Strengths

  • Mobility.
  • Flexible playstyles and builds, he can be an assassin, healer + shielder, or both.
  • Works well with every ADC if you choose appropriate runes and build.
  • Sick late game.
  • OP counter-engager.

Weaknesses

  • Every CC counters Rakan’s combo.
  • Weak early levels (before R) compared to other supports.
  • Although he can do everything, he is mediocre at everything (before getting items at least).
  • Require allies to use E.

Rakan Counters

These champions give Rakan a hard time in-game due to having a kit that can stop Rakan from doing what he wants to do. Here are some of the biggest issues and how you can try to overcome the challenges they bring.

Zyra Icon

Zyra

Zyra is considered a counter because she can hold down the engaging ability of Rakan. She can use her E (Grasping Roots) to stop your W (Grand Entrance) whenever she wants to. Unless she uses it to poke you in the lane, you won’t be able to start the fight. Wait for it to be on cooldown before activating your W. If she Flashes, activate your Flash + R combo to charm her back to the fight.

Tahm Kench Icon

Tahm Kench

Tahm Kench is considered a counter because of his W (Devour). Whenever Rakan attempts to engage, TK can slow him down with Q (Tongue Lash), keep hitting him with his tongue and then gobble him up. This prevents Rakan from dashing back to his ADC. He can also throw minions at you to deal damage and reduce your movement speed. Try to avoid thrown minions and Tongue Lash. Use your E (Battle Dance) to dash to your ADC and dodge TK’s skill shot and then knock him up for your ADC.

Taric Icon

Taric

Taric is considered a counter because he has his ultimate (Cosmic Radiance) to activate whenever he sees Rakan charging with his charm. This negates all incoming damage to him and his bonded allies after the channel. He also shields and heals very efficiently, which is troublesome for you. Use your combos and harass the enemy duo in the bot lane before Taric gets his ultimate. You can easily dodge his stun and deal damage with your ADC, giving you lane advantage early in the game.

Yuumi Icon

Yuumi

Yuumi is considered a counter because she is untargetable most of the time. You can’t hit her with Q (Gleaming Quill) to trade and heal in the lane. Even targeting their ADC with your Q is most of the time not worth it because she can quickly heal the damage. Yuumi can boost the movement of her ADC and slow you. Try to focus on harassing her with your Grand Entrance while your ADC shreds the HP of the enemy carry. This will force her to go out and assist her ally, which is perfect. It reduces the offensive and defensive stats of her ADC, giving you the chance to easily kill him and leave Yuumi defenseless.

Rakan Synergies

These champions work well with Rakan and should be considered being picked alongside him if possible. Here are some of the biggest synergies and how you can abuse them.

Miss Fortune Icon

Miss Fortune

Miss Fortune (full lethality build) works well with Rakan because she creates a great initiation with him. She uses her E (Make It Rain) to slow enemies and help with engage. Her ultimate (Bullet Time) is great when you use your R + W combo. This holds the enemies so they receive all the damage from Miss Fortune’s R.

Twitch Icon

Twitch

Twitch works well with Rakan because he is a hyper carry, which is the best type of ADC for the enchanter build. He is able to hide from enemies with his Q (Ambush), and Rakan can dash to him with his Battle Dance without enemies expecting it. This enables him to knock them up and charm them while Twitch deals damage with his R (Spray and Pray).

Tristana Icon

Tristana

Tristana works well with Rakan because she has a kit that has high burst and great engages. This enables Rakan to perform his combo if he is as close as possible as she engages with her W (Rocket Jump). You can also jump twice to her mid air to increase your combo range.

Rakan Summoner Spells

Rakan recommended summoner spells are Ignite and Flash because these are the strongest spells he can have in the lane. Using these summoners gives him more pressure with his ADC as every engage comes with a burn.

Rakan Runes and Keystones

Rakan is a flexible champion who can work his way around games using different runes. Each choice relates to a playstyle Strzelba applies in the lane or when he is facing a specific composition. Runes are encircled to show which are the best and worst with designated colors.

When to play which keystone

– Electrocute: when you have high kill and snowball potential.
– Guardian – against burst damage enemy.
– Aery – against damage over time poke or against tanks.
– Aftershock – against other Aftershock support user.
– Phase Rush – against strong slows and/or many slows (example: Thresh’ slow).
– Unsealed Spellbook – good against everything, no requirements. If someone likes this rune, it’s good.

Role of secondary runes

– Domination – Snowball (Ultimate Hunter).
– Sorcery – Scaling (Gathering Storm).
– Resolve – Scaling + Survivability (Revitalize).
– Precision – Tenacity (Legend: Tenacity).
– Inspiration – Gold advantage spikes for snowball (Future’s Market).

Minor Runes Explanation:

Primary Slot 1:

  • Cheap Shot – will always do less damage than Sudden Impact.
  • Taste of Blood – good sustain rune.
  • Sudden Impact – best damage option, can be triggered by W, E, Protobelt, Flash…

Primary Slot 2:

  • Zombie Ward – can be stacked efficiently only with Oracle Lens, so it means you don’t have Warding Totem at the start of the game or you start stacking it after finishing your first support item quest (500g).
  • Ghost Poro – can be stacked from the start.
  • Eyeball Collection – a good option, but you lose a bit of vision.

Primary Slot 3:

  • Ravenous Hunter – useless because of high cooldowns.
  • Ingenious Hunter – you don’t need wave clear, so it’s pointless.
  • Relentless Hunter – good rune if you like to roam.
  • Ultimate Hunter – since you don’t build much CDR early on, this rune solves that problem. Also, it allows you to fight more often.

Secondary Slot 1:

  • Nullifying Orb / Manaflow Band / Nimbus Cloak – you take Sorcery to scale, so Transcendence and Gathering Storm are much better.

Secondary Slot 2:

  • Transcendence – it provides 10% CDR. Protobelt gives 10% CDR. Then you get 10% from Fiendish Codex, and additional ~5% from stat rune. Transcendence helps you get early ~35% cdr and then gives some AP in the late game
  • Celerity – this rune gives almost nothing overall due to movement speed cap mechanic.
  • Absolute Focus – comparing to Transcendence, it’s better only in the first ~10 minutes of the game, but only when above 70% HP.

Secondary Slot 3:

  • Scorch – you can’t proc it often due to long cooldowns and its damage is barely noticeable after the first recall.
  • Waterwalking – not bad for roaming, but Gathering Storm is just better.
  • Gathering Storm – it’s dead for the first 10 minutes, but after that time it’s already better than any other rune and it can solo win games. After 20 minutes it’s already a game-changing rune.

Secondary Slot 1:

  • Overheal – gives nothing.
  • Triumph – additional gold and sustain in teamfights.
  • Presence of Mind – if you have problems with mana in fights, then this rune is made for you.

Secondary Slot 2:

  • Legend: Tenacity – the only reason to take Precision.
  • Legend: Alacrity/Legend: Bloodline – bad for Rakan, and the only reason to take Precision is Tenacity.

Secondary Slot 3:

  • Coup De Grace – better than Cut Down and Last Stand, but still not worth taking.

  • Font of Life – without Athene it’s useless rune for Rakan, and in this build you don’t rush it
  • Shield Bash – overall gives less than Conditioning, it’s better for first 12 minutes

Secondary Slot 2:

  • Conditioning – just good rune if you don’t build any resistance item
  • Second Wind – it doesn’t proc if you have passive, you have to lose hp to proc it, also you aren’t on front line to use it, you stay behind and wait for engage
  • Bone Plating – i don’t like this rune because it’s easy to counter if enemy play around it

Secondary Slot 3:

  • Overgrowth/Revitalize – the only reason to take Resolve is tenacity and slow resistance from Unflinching
  • Unflinching – the only reason to take resolve in secondary

  • Biscuit Delivery – no matter how strong it is, it’s nothing comparing to Future’s Market.
  • Minion Dematerializer – it is just bad.

Primary Slot 3:

  • Cosmic Insight – additional 5% max CDR helps with everything.
  • Approach Velocity – isn’t good for this build at all.
  • Time Warp Tonic – is just bad.

Secondary Slot 1:

  • Nullifying Orb / Manaflow Band / Nimbus Cloak – you take Sorcery to scale, so Transcendence and Gathering Storm are much better.

Secondary Slot 2:

  • Transcendence – thanks to this rune you can scale insanely, which is important for an enchanter.
  • Celerity – this rune gives almost nothing overall due to movement speed cap mechanic.
  • Absolute Focus – compared to Transcendence, it’s better only in the first ~10 minutes of the game, but only when above 70% HP.

#6 Build vs everything

Rakan's #6 Build vs everything
Rakan's #6 Build vs everything
rakan-legend

How to use Predator:

  • For roams
  • As a Rakan’s ultimate, come close to enemy with it and force them to use their escape mechanics and then you can use your ultimate when they can’t dodge it anymore
  • As a free pressure for objectives – use it like you are about to engage but don’t actually engage, just pressure enemy for 10 seconds of Predator’s duration so your jungler can do dragon ok actually gank other lane when enemy thinks he is botside
  • As a “ward” – movement speed applies only if you run towards enemy, so if enemy jungler is nearby then you will get movement speed if you run to river or tri-bushes

Minor runes explanation:

Primary Slot 1:

  • Cheap Shot – will always do less damage than Sudden Impact
  • Taste of Blood – good sustain rune and you don’t play that much aggressive in early because before boots you have no Keystone
  • Sudden Impact – if you don’t need Taste of Blood then it’s good

Primary Slot 2:

  • Zombie Ward – can be stacked efficiently only with Oracle Lens, so it means you don’t have Warding Totem at start or you start stack it after finishing first support item quest (500g)
  • Ghost Poro – can be stacked since 1st minute
  • Eyeball Collection – good option, but you lose a bit vision

Primary Slot 3:

  • Ravenous Hunter/Relentless Hunter/Ultimate Hunter – Ingenious Hunter is core for this build
  • Ingenious Hunter – core of this build, you stack at least 3 active items and it works for trinkets too

Secondary Slot 1:

  • Hextech Flashtraption – hard to use and there are better options
  • Magical Footwear – with Predator it’s troll
  • Perfect Timing – faster Zhonya and free active

Secondary Slot 2:

  • Futures Market – this is the most OP rune in game if you know how to use it:
    – makes you ahead around 300g for few minutes, 300g for which you can buy full item or even buy a Amplifying Tome before important fight, which can make you ahead again
    – it’s something like being 4 minutes ahead of enemy support or 2 minutes ahead of enemy overall
    –  you don’t have to wait and lose experience or minions with Relic Shield
  • Biscuit Delivery – no matter how it’s strong, it’s nothing comparing to Future’s Market
  • Minion Dematerializer – is just bad

Secondary Slot 3:

  • Cosmic Insight – additional 5% max CDR helps with everything
  • Approach Velocity – isn’t good for this build at all

Time Warp Tonic – is just bad

Rakan Builds

Rakan’s recommended items change depending on the situation. However, the following items will give you a good idea of what to build in different situations.

AP TANK BUILDS

Starting Items

Relic Shield Icon

Rakan starts with Relic Shield with his AP tank builds. This will give him the early game stats he needs to deal with the enemy bot lane.

Core Items

Hextech Protobelt 01 Icon

Hextech Protobelt-01 is core on Rakan, as it adds AP, health, and cooldown reduction. It also provides an activation used to dash forward and fire bolts in a cone, dealing magic damage. Rakan utilizes the ability to move further with this item and combine it with his other combos to instantly damage and reach enemies or allies.

Zeke's Convergence Icon

Zeke’s Convergence is core on Rakan, as it provides armor, cooldown reduction, magic resist, and mana. Its protective stats will give Rakan the defense he needs when initiating fights. He bonds with his ADC and makes every auto-attack burn. It also activates a Frostfire storm that deals magic damage and slows enemies when clicking R.

Fiendish Codex Icon

Fiendish Codex is core on Rakan because it increases the cooldown reduction and ability power of the charmer. This will help Rakan cast more abilities in the early game to set up perfect CC for his team.

Boots

Mercury's Treads Icon

Use Mercury’s Treads, as they give magic resist and movement speed for Rakan. It also adds Tenacity, which reduces the time Rakan is affected by CC. It will provide better escape chances for you and your ADC in the bot lane.

Ionian Boots of Lucidity Icon

Use Ionian Boots of Lucidity if you want to focus on more combos early. These will give you more cooldown reduction that will help you cast more in the early game.

Sorcerer's Shoes Icon

Use Sorcerer’s Shoes if you want to penetrate defenses more with your abilities. Casting abilities will burst enemies unexpectedly.

Offensive Situational Items

Liandry's Torment Icon

If you want to progressively increase damage in teamfights, you can build Liandry’s Torment. Using this item will give you more ability power and health. It also burns enemies over time the longer the fight progresses.

Morellonomicon Icon

If you want to penetrate through your enemies’ defenses, you can build Morellonomicon. This will also provide you with more ability power and health. The item will increase your magic penetration and inflict Grievous Wounds, which is effective against champions with high amounts of healing and regeneration.

Defensive Situational Items

Athene's Unholy Grail Icon

If you want to give more protection, you can build Athene’s Unholy Grail, because this item provides ability power, cooldown reduction, magic resist, and health regeneration. It charges up and adds more power to your healing and shielding, which is perfect for Rakan’s kit.

Ardent Censer Icon

Full Build (AP TANK - SELFISH) Example

An example full build for Rakan can consist of:

Hextech Protobelt-01 and Zeke’s Convergence will give power to every engage Rakan does. It also extends his combos and delivers more damage output. Banshee’s Veil and Zhonya’s Hourglass will make him more aggressive, as the items are reliable to protect him. Having this set can make Rakan a strong contender in prolonged clashes. If you are able to sell your support item and buy a full item, do so. This means that everyone already has had full build for a while (because you are support, you have less gold than others). The stats will make a big difference in fights (because if you didn’t win/lost already, it means the game is even). When you do this, swap the Oracle Lens back for the yellow trinket.

This means that everyone already has had full build for a while (because you are support, you have less gold than others). The stats will make a big difference in fights (because if you didn’t win/lost already, it means the game is even). When you do this, swap the Oracle Lens back for the yellow trinket.

Defensive Situational Items

Zeke's Convergence Icon

If you want to deal damage while having protection, you can build Zeke’s Convergence because it provides armor, cooldown reduction, magic resist, and mana. Athene’s Unholy Grail, Ardent Censer and Redemption will drastically increase his healing and shielding power. This makes him a proactive support that engages and protects his allies. Rabadon’s Deathcap will provide more ability power, so his combos will deal more damage every fight.

Rakan's Abilities

Passive - Fey Feathers

Rakan's Passive - Fey Feathers

Rakan generates a shield after a few seconds. Damaging an enemy with an ability or basic attack will reduce the cooldown of this passive by 1 second. Fey Feathers helps Rakan sustain damage when initiating in teamfights. Performing multiple combos reactivates the passive and aids the charmer in every move he is going to take. Also, having Xayah around will increase his attack speed and give him more shields. Additionally, he gets another passive with which both lovers get to recall home together.

Q - Gleaming Quill

Rakan's Q - Gleaming Quill

This is Rakan’s only long-range ability. It deals magic power and increases its damage with your AP. Use this after you have initiated with your Grand Entrance. It will heal nearby allies when you retreat with your Battle Dance. You can also use Gleaming Quill to finish off targets that are able to escape your initial damage.

W - Grand Entrance

Rakan's W - Grand Entrance

Rakan dashes to an area and knocks enemies up dealing magic damage. This is his bread and butter for engaging any teamfights. Rakan’s kit revolves around landing his Grand Entrance. Activating The Quickness before going in with your W will charm every enemy that comes near you, which secures a great follow up from your teammates.

E - Battle Dance

Rakan's E - Battle Dance

The main purpose of this ability is to dash back to your allies. It shields your targeted ally for 3 seconds. You can protect your ADC when enemies are attempting to attack him, knock them up with Grand Entrance, and safely go back to your ADC for an easy escape.

R - The Quickness

Rakan's R Ability Named The Quickness Tooltip
Rakan's R Ability Named The Quickness Animation
Rakan's R - The Quickness

Rakan gains movement speed and runs as fast as he can. All enemies he touches are charmed and damaged. Your main goal when using this ability is to pull as many enemies as you can towards you. This will create plays from teammates with amazing CC. Allies like Malphite, Orianna, and Yasuo will benefit greatly from this ultimate. Use this ability when multiple enemies are close enough.

Ability Skill Order

The skill order for Rakan is R – Q – E – W.  The reason is that you want to maximize the healing of your Q (Gleaming Quill) and protect your allies as much as possible. Your E (Battle Dance) is second, as it is great for reaching teammates who need protection. This also gives you the ability to reach other areas and combo with your ultimate and Grand Entrance. AP tank and enchanter builds vary with what ability you will take in every level. But the order of what to focus will be the same.

AP Tank Skill Order

Rakan's AP Tank Ability Skill Order
Rakan's AP Tank Ability Skill Order

Enchanter Skill Order

Rakan's Enchanter Ability Skill Order
Rakan's Enchanter Ability Skill Order

You start with E early because it is the safest choice. You can assist junglers and shield poke at level 1 in the lane to ramp up your ADC. At level 2 you can either go with Grand Entrance or Gleaming Quill to initiate or increase your overall defense with your duo.

Rakan Powerspikes

A power spike is when a champion reaches a level or builds an item that makes him a lot stronger than other champions in the game. Flexible builds create different power spikes to Rakan. Level 9 is where both AP tank and enchanter have a single ability fully maxed. This will increase healing and protection to allies. AP tank builds become stronger when you have fully built Hextech Protobelt-01 and Zeke’s Convergence, giving both offensive and defensive capabilities as a duo in the bot lane. For the enchanter build, getting the 3 core items will increase the amount you can heal your allies. Both have different paths, but focus on being a teamfight player.

Ultimate AA Range Trick

Your ultimate lowers your AA range down from 300 to 50 before charming the target. However, if you use attack move, your AA range will still be 300 in any situation. You can also have 300 AA range before charm with AA move.

How to Play Rakan

Early Game

When you play Rakan in the early game, you want to prepare yourself and all-in when you reach level 6. But before that, your focus is to poke the enemy duo in the bot lane and shield your ADC. If enemies are reckless, you can try to engage with a basic W + E play. This will protect your carry and give him an opportunity to kite the enemies and make them lose some spells. However, it is not recommended to fight 2v2 without The Quickness. Having the movement speed of your R will offer a better winning chance in your lane.

Mid Game

In the mid-game phase, you want to ward more for your team. You now have the opportunity to use multiple combos and look for picks. Teamfighting is your best asset, and will be the key to win games. Rakan is very flexible with playstyles and can build depending on what kind of team composition he is facing. For the AP tank build, go in and burst enemy squishies or tank as much as you can. Then back off and return to your allies. When playing as an enchanter, use your ultimate to peel or to engage. It all depends on the situation of the fight. Engage, then step back with your Q’s healing and E to the ally that needs it the most. Keep shielding and healing just like a Janna or a Soraka to keep teammates alive.

  • Split-pushing –  Support does not push alone. Have an ADC with you and deal more damage to the towers. This will give you plates if you defeated your opponents. If not, you can just add more pressure to the enemies and give more gold to your carry. Your sole purpose is to grab the attention and charm as many enemy champions as you can, so allies with amazing CC can instantly delete them. When your team plans on split-pushing on the other side of the map, ward areas where you think the enemy will gank them. This alerts your allies to back off and avoid giving a kill.
  • Objective control – Gain vision around the Dragon or Rift Herald like any support does. Be ready to assist your allies, as taking these objectives is very important in the game. You can try to focus on protecting your teammates with heals and shields from your Q and E. You can also Q the epic monsters and get healing. Once the enemy team decides to go all-in, you can instantly collide with them using your ultimate. Toplaners can also start the engage and you protect them before using W. R is very effective when enemies are close to each other. Even if you are stunned or slowed, all opponents nearby will be charmed. This will give your carry and mage time to burst them while you and your frontline hold them in one spot.

Late Game

Late game is no different with Rakan. You want to protect your ADC from being burst down by assassins or mages. Focus on healing and shielding allies while you wait for opportunities to use your combos. AD bruisers will be able to attract the enemy and close the gap. Having your full abilities and items can give you the power to reach an ally in no time. Dash into the fight with The Quickness activated and use your combos to seal the deal. Baron and Elder Dragon are very important to take. That is why positioning yourself correctly for any teamfight is necessary. Do not all-in the enemy team without a follow up. Your E will be useless, causing you to either Flash or die. Try to charm as many enemies as you can and knock them up with Grand Entrance. You’ll be going in and out of every fight to take objectives and ultimately win the game.

Rakan Tips and Tricks

  • Hextech Protobelt-01’s dash can be used to get in range to use W.
  • Always look for picks.
  • Wait for enemies to engage, so you can counter-engage.
  • Enchanter builds focus on peeling.

Frequent Mistakes/Noob Traps

These are things most Rakan players do that shouldn’t be done at a high ELO.

Noob trap #1 – Knight’s Vow – Rakan is ranged, so this item is just 50% effective. This means that out of 1000 HP damage, you block 60 damage, which you can also do with 26 AP.

Noob trap #2 – Xayah – she is at best a decent ADC for Rakan, because the only gap closer she provides to Rakan is increased movement speed, and only when she is already attacking the enemy. Any champion who has a dash as gap closer is more useful for Rakan, because it helps to engage.

Mistake #1– Celerity

t2 boots without celerity:

Normally: 380ms
On ult: 515ms
On ult on 1st charm: 705ms

t2 boots with celerity:

Normally: 384ms
On ult: 524ms
On ult on 1st charm: 727 ms

Which is 22 movement speed on peak when it doesnt matter anymore concusion will be the same but with other numbers.

Mistake #2 – Zeke as first item – 60 armor gives the same tankiness as 300 HP at first item, but with armor penetration/lethality it gives even less than 300 HP, not mentioning that you don’t have 60 but 30 MR, which means you are even tankier vs AP champions, and the most important – turrets have 30% armor penetration. Additionally, Zeke’s passive can be activated only when you use your ultimate. On the other hand, you can use Protobelt without conditions. Protobelt also gives better: poke, burst, heals and shields, more combos, and it counters spell shields like Sivir’s, Malzahar’s, Banshee’s Veil, and Edge of Night.

Mistake #3 – Building Rakan as tank without AP. If you build Rakan as tank, then:

  1. You don’t have Passive (so it makes you actually less tanky).
  2. You have no Q (no damage, no heal).
  3. You don’t have half of your E (no shield).
  4. You have no damage to be a danger, so you are just a worse version of Alistar (Alistar has better heals, tankiness, damage, and CC if he goes tank).
  5. After your combo you are an AFK champion until your W comes off cooldown.

Similar Champions to Rakan

Listed below are some champions you can use to replace Rakan as they give similar teamfight pressure to the enemy. When he isn’t available because he is either banned or picked by the enemy team, knowing how to play these champions will give you a variety to choose from, safeguarding your LP from going down and keeping your games awesome.

Thresh Icon

Thresh

Pick potential. Great engage. Ultimate is a zoning slow. Thresh is a great support to replace Rakan when he is not available. He pulls and pushes enemies for his allies to deal damage. He can also set up an area to trap foes and slow them down, giving his carry time to kite better.

Sona Icon

Sona

Ultimate is an AoE CC. Gives additional stats to teams. Flexible. Sona is another great option when Rakan is not available. Her abilities can give stats to her allies and boost their gameplay. She can increase their damage output, heal them, and provide movement speed. She can also remove stats from the enemy to make fights in the bot lane favorable.

Yuumi Icon

Yuumi

Almost untargetable the whole game. AoE ultimate. Boosts an ally when attached to him/her. Yuumi increases the ADC’s damage when attached to him. She also provides a boost of movement speed and a heal when necessary. Typically, Yuumi doesn’t tank damage for his carry, but she is always ready to help her team.
