This League of Legends Season 10 Ultimate Shaco guide is the only guide that you will need in order to play Shaco Jungle. This guide will include builds, combos, counters, synergies, keystones, and runes.

Shaco is the hysterical demon jester who laughs when someone dies. He is a cunning assassin, and madness reigns over him. He manifests his horrendous and law-breaking atrocity in every kill.

This guide was written by our team of writers along with the help of Challenger player, nZk_CroC, who is an expert in everything Shaco. He is considered one of the best in Europe at this Champion and you can maybe find him streaming on Twitch some day.

Shaco Overview Infographic

Who Is nZk_Croc

nZk_CroC, 16 years of age. Formerly played with summoner name Rasmus Paludαn, Chén Béixûan. He has over 1 million mastery points on Shaco, and he peaked at 455 LP in EUNE Challenger. He has a KDA ratio of 3.85:1 with a 62% win rate. He saw a friend playing the game, and after some weeks he started playing it as well, at the end of Season 6. His brother had a friend who played the game as well, so he helped him to learn the game and play better. He got his foot in the door (Bronze) for his first 2 seasons and then quickly ranked up to be the demon jester he is now.

Table of Contents

Why Play Shaco?

Before we start on the Ultimate Guide to Shaco we first want to tell you why you should play him. His overall strengths and weaknesses are as follows:

Strengths

  • Very illusive.
  • Strong jungler.
  • Insane counterjungler.
  • Great for outplaying opponents.
  • Good ganks.

Weaknesses

  • Squishy.
  • Playing from behind is very hard.
  • High skill cap.
  • Invades destroy him.
  • Needs to snowball.

Shaco Counters

These champions give Shaco a hard time in-game due to having a kit that can stop Shaco from doing what he wants to do. Here are some of the biggest issues and how you can try to overcome the challenges they bring.

Graves Icon

Graves

Graves is considered a counter because it is pretty difficult to 1v1 him due to his E’s (Quickdraw) passive, that stacks armor when used. The armor he gets is just too high, and he will have permanently high HP while dealing more damage than you in the game.

Lee Sin Icon

Lee Sin

Lee Sin is considered a counter because he is very strong -if not broken- champion right now. His E (Tempest) negates your invisibility, giving him the opportunity to instantly burst you with his insane damage. The healing he gets from W (Iron Will) and Conqueror makes him a very durable opponent. He can fight you at 50% HP and can even heal from you if you don’t have Ignite or your W (Jack in the Box) to play around.

Rek'Sai Icon

Rek'Sai

Rek’Sai is considered a counter because she is a completely counters your kit. Her W (Burrow) makes Shaco a bit useless, as she has the ability to see your steps using Tremor Sense. She also has a better 1v1 damage potential early on, making her an effective counter against your ability to surprise enemies. Her ultimate (Void Rush) will still connect even when you have already used your Q (Deceive) to escape, which is terrible for Shaco.

Janna Icon

Janna

Janna is absolutely insane against Shaco. Her whole kit denies your ability to gank enemies in the lane. Her Q (Howling Gale) is just really annoying, as it knocks you up when she sees that you’re coming to the lane. Her passive (Tailwind) makes it difficult for you to chase anyone who is near her. Her W (Zephyr) slows you down and gives her team the opportunity to engage and destroy you, as you’ve already lost your only escaping ability. And finally, both her E (Eye of the Storm) and R (Monsoon) protect allies around her, making it really hard for you to assassinate someone.

Shaco Synergies

These champions work well with Shaco and should be considered being picked alongside him if possible. Here are some of the biggest synergies and how you can abuse them.

Yuumi Icon

Yuumi

Yuumi works well with Shaco because she can just sit on you. She has the ability to give you movement speed and healing with E (Zoomies) and join you to flank the enemy team and get an insane 5-man ultimate (Final Chapter) and lock them in one place. This gives you the chance to assassinate a target and place your W (Jack in the Box) for your allies to follow up against fleeing enemies.

Pyke Icon

Pyke

Pyke works well with Shaco because he is insanely good at pulling targets towards his allies. He can hook enemies into your W (Jack in the Box) or your R (Hallucinate), and if you are AP and the clone explodes, 90% of the times the explosion does enough damage for Pyke to kill them with his ultimate, Death from Below.

Orianna Icon

Orianna

Orianna works well with Shaco because she has the ability to make good use of your assassination mechanics. Using her ball, she can click E (Command: Protect) on you while you go inside the enemy team. She can then use her ultimate (Command: Shockwave) to pull all enemies towards you to quickly assassinate them.

Shaco Summoner Spells

Shaco’s recommended summoner spells are Smite and Ignite. Smite is the go-to spell for junglers in League of Legends. Ignite will add more pressure to your early game ganks and counterjungling abilities.

nZk_CroC Playstyle

Shaco’s recommended runes, builds, and ability skill order will vary according to the playstyle you need in the game.

Assassin Shaco

Runes and Keystones

Shaco’s recommended runes are Hail of Blades, Sudden Impact, Eyeball Collection, and Relentless Hunter on Domination as primary, and Future’s Market with Approach Velocity on Inspiration as secondary. This boosts your ability to gank a lane and maximizes your damage and attack speed in a few seconds. You are able to utilize your assassination capabilities to quickly earn stacks with your Eyeball Collection and Relentless Hunter to snowball a lead.

Assassins's Shaco Primary Runes
Assassins's Shaco Primary Runes

If you want to additional damage in the late game, you can consider using Hail of Blades, Sudden Impact, Eyeball Collection, and Relentless Hunter on Domination as primary, and Absolute Focus with Gathering Storm on Sorcery as secondary. This gives Shaco more strength when the early to mid game phase isn’t going your way. Absolute Focus can add damage when you initially gank with more HP, while Gathering Storm prepares you for the late game phase.

Assassins's Shaco Secondary Runes
Assassins's Shaco Secondary Runes

If you play against hyper carries like Vayne or Kog’Maw with Lulu to protect them, you will not be able to abuse your HoB auto-attacks. In that case, you can also consider using Electrocute, Sudden Impact, Eyeball Collection, and Relentless Hunter on Domination as primary, and Absolute Focus with Gathering Storm on Sorcery as secondary. This will pop the enemy instantly when you have the lethality and critical build during ganks. You can consider using Cheap Shot instead of Sudden Impact when you know the composition of the enemy team are more in the early game. This will help you deal more damage with your E (Two-Shiv Poison). Remember that Electrocute is situational for the late game.

Assassins's Shaco Tertiary Runes

The stat runes are +10% attack speed, +9 adaptive force, and +6 armor.

Offensive Situational Items

Stalker's Blade - Warrior Icon

If you are behind and you need to take dragon early, you can build Stalker’s Blade - Warrior. Upgrading your jungle item will help you when you are having difficulties in the early game. If you need to fight or counter-jungle, then replace Stalker’s Blade with Skirmisher’s Sabre.

Titanic Hydra Icon

If you want to deal more damage and want some tankiness, you can build Titanic Hydra. This item will give you an auto-attack reset and deal instant damage to your target. When you critically hit a target, activating this item will increase your chance of deleting them quickly.

Lord Dominik's Regards Icon

If you want to deal more damage to heavy armor, you can build Lord Dominik’s Regards. This will give you 45 AD and armor penetration. Having this item as Shaco will help you during the mid to late game phase and you will still have the ability to shred the enemies.

Defensive Situational Items

Guardian Angel's Icon

If you want to deal more damage while having some protection, you can build Guardian Angel, as this item provides AD and armor. It also revives yourself when you die. If you kill your target after going in, you’ll have the time to escape as your allies follow up.

Zhonya's Hourglass Icon

If you want to have more protection and a budget build for GA when using W (Jack in the Box) and ultimate (Hallucinate), you can build Zhonya’s Hourglass. It gives 75 AP, 45 armor, and 10% CDR. This item also gives you the opportunity to go on statis and be untargetable for 2.5 seconds, which is great for Shaco when flanking the enemy team.

Ability Skill Order

Assassins's Shaco Ability Skill Order
Assassins's Shaco Ability Skill Order

This is the skill order for assassin Shaco. Start with W (Jack in the Box) to help you clear your camps fasters. After that, take Q (Deceive) to move and gank easily with a critical strike in hand. Then focus on maxing E (Two-Shiv Poison), then Q, and lastly W. Level your ultimate whenever you can at levels 6, 11, and 16.

AP Shaco

Runes and Keystones

Shaco’s recommended runes are Dark Harvest, Cheap Shot, Eyeball Collection, and Ultimate Hunter on Domination as primary, and Transcendence with Gathering Storm on Sorcery as secondary. Dark Harvest is the best for AP because your boxes and ultimate explosion proc it, so this can help give you a lot of random box kills and you can execute a target with your E as well. Cheap Shot and Eyeball Collection for snowballing your lead. Transcendence will get you to 40% CDR with just 2 items, providing more strength as an AP champion. Finally, Gathering Storm will give you more AP when the game progresses longer.

AP's Shaco Primary Runes
AP's Shaco Primary Runes

If you are an AP Shaco that focuses on supporting your allies in teamfights, you can consider using Dark Harvest, Cheap Shot, Eyeball Collection, and Ultimate Hunter on Domination as primary, and Perfect Timing or Magical Footwear with Cosmic Insight on Inspiration as secondary. Dark Harvest is the best for AP because your boxes and ultimate explosion proc it, so this can help give you a lot of random box kills and you can execute a target with your E as well. Cheap Shot and Eyeball Collection for snowballing your lead. Inspiration is better than Sorcery for a supportive style because it gives you a free Stopwatch and an additional 5% CDR.

AP's Shaco Secondary Runes
AP's Shaco Secondary Runes

You can also consider using Conqueror, Triumph, Alacrity/Tenacity, and Last Stand on Precision as primary, and Cheap Shot with Ultimate Hunter on Domination as secondary. Conqueror will help you damage with your auto attacks in close combat even when you are building AP. It will also give you sustain in prolonged fights as Shaco is a squishy champion. This will help you survive teamfights while bursting your enemies with your W(Jack in the Box) and R (Hallucinate).

Ability Skill Order

AP's Shaco Ability Skill Order
AP's Shaco Ability Skill Order

This is the skill order for AP or supportive type Shaco. Start with W (Jack in the Box) to help you clear your camps faster. Then put 2 extra points into your W. This helps massively with your clear and allows you to stay way more healthy as well. After that, just max E and then Q, or max W. (3 points in W and a Fiendish Codex solo clear small raptors, keep that in mind) Playstyle is overall very supportive, peeling with your boxes and clone, but you can hard carry and even one-shot with the carry focused build and runes.

Anti-Tank Bruiser Shaco

Runes and Keystones

Shaco’s recommended runes are Conqueror, Triumph, Bloodline/Tenacity, and Last Stand on Precision as primary, and Approach Velocity with Magical Footwear on Inspiration as secondary. Conqueror is the best for bruiser Shaco. Most of Shaco’s kit is pretty much just auto-attacking the targets. As AD, you can proc Conqueror quite easily and your clone can abuse it. Triumph is the best way to go, as you have enough mana regeneration from your jungle item. Tenacity is the best most of the times because of all the CC in the game, but Bloodline can be good if the enemies don’t have much CC, and it obviously helps with your clone. Last Stand is just straight up better than Coup de Grace, and the problem with Cut Down is that you don’t buy too much HP in this build. Approach Velocity is broken, while Magical Footwear is taken because you prioritize your jungle item.

Anti-Tank's Shaco Primary Runes

The stat runes are +10% attack speed, +9 adaptive force, and +6 armor.

Builds

Starting Items

Hunter's Talisman Icon

Shaco starts with Hunter’s Talisman, which heals you when you deal damage to monsters. Walking in the jungle and river will regenerate your mana when you have this item.

Core Items

Tiamat Icon

Tiamat is core on anti-tank bruiser Shaco because it speeds up his jungle clears. It provides additional damage as well as an active that bursts nearby targets. Use this ability against the jungle monsters and gank your allies’ lanes as fast as possible. It also procs a Conqueror stack as well.

Skirmisher's Sabre - Bloodrazor Icon

Skirmisher’s Sabre - Bloodrazor is core on anti-tank bruiser Shaco, as it is used to deal with tanks. The item provides a 50% attack speed and deals 4% of the target’s maximum health as physical damage on-hit.

Black Cleaver Icon

Black Cleaver is core on anti-tank bruiser Shaco because it shreds tank champions in the game. It provides 40 AD, 20% CDR and 400 health. Dealing damage to your target reduces their armor by  4%, stacking to 24%. It also grants movement speed upon hitting the target or getting a kill or assist. Also, combining this item with Approach Velocity will boost your movement speed drastically.

Boots

Mercury's Treads Icon

Use Mercury’s Treads against high CC enemies to reduce the duration of stuns, slows, roots, etc.

Ninja Tabi Icon

Use Ninja Tabi against enemy team compositions that have assassins or critical damage based champions. These will block some of their damage.

Offensive Situational Items

Guardian Angel's Icon

If you want to deal more damage while having some protection, you can build Guardian Angel, as this item provides AD and armor. It also revives yourself when you die. If you kill your target after going in, you’ll have the time to escape as your allies follow up.

Blade of the Ruined King's Icon

If you are playing against fed tanks or just overall very tanky champions with low damage output, you can build Blade of the Ruined King. This item gives 40 AD, 25% attack speed, and 12% lifesteal. Also, your basic attacks will deal 12% of your target’s current health as physical damage. Combining this item with Bloodrazor will boost your damage against those tanky champions.

Wit's End Icon

If you want to deal more damage and have more MR, you can build Wit’s End. It is a really good item because the attack speed you get is just so much that it impacts a lot combined with the lifesteal from runes and build, and is overall just a great item if you snowball and enemies have some AP damage.

Defensive Situational Items

Randuin's Omen Icon

If you want to deal with critical damage champions you can build Randuin’s Omen, because this item provides armor and HP. It also has an active that slows nearby enemies for you to stick better to them.

Thornmail Icon

Adaptive Helm's Icon

If you want to protect yourself from DPS AP champions like Karthus, Teemo and Cassiopeia, you can build Adaptive Helm. It provides 10% CDR, 350 HP, 100% health regeneration, and 55 MR. The item itself reduces the damage of consecutive abilities from all champions that hit you.

Tank Bruiser Shaco

Runes and Keystones

Shaco’s recommended runes are Conqueror, Triumph, Alacrity/Tenacity, and Last Stand on Precision as primary, and Cheap Shot/Zombie ward(if high elo) with Ravenous Hunter on Domination as secondary. Alacrity is good if the enemies don’t have a lot of CC. It adds some extra attack speed, which can help in the early to mid game phase, and even late game. Most of the time Tenacity is the best though. Last Stand is just straight up better than Coup de Grace, and the problem with Cut Down is that you don’t buy too much HP in this build. Cheap Shot is the best rune of the Domination tree because it has a really low cooldown and you can stay very long in fights, so you can proc it multiple times. Ravenous Hunter is the main reason why I go Domination and Cinderhulk. This rune insanely heals you with Cinderhulk. The synergy is just amazing.

Tank-Bruiser's Shaco Primary Runes
Tank-Bruiser's Shaco Primary Runes

You can also use Phase Rush, Nimbus Cloak, Transcendence, Waterwalking on Sorcery as primary, and Cheap Shot with Ultimate Hunter/Ravenous Hunter on Domination as secondary. This gives you more speed when going in and out of fights quickly dodging enemies. Choose Ravenous Hunter if the jungle matchup is very easy to invade.

Tank-Bruiser's Shaco Secondary Runes
Tank-Bruiser's Shaco Secondary Runes

Your stat runes are +10% Attack Speed, +9 adaptive force or +6 armor/8 magic resistance depending on the enemy team, and +6 armor.

Skirmisher's Sabre-Cinderhulk Icon

Skirmisher’s Sabre - Cinderhulk is core on tank Shaco because it is really good early on and sometimes you even buy it before Tiamat because the spike it provides is just that insane. The damage and tankiness is unexpected. When partnered with your E (Two-Shiv Poison) and your clone, there aren’t a lot of champions who can possibly win a 1v1 against you. It also helps a lot with clearing, and with Ravenous Hunter you’re very healthy most of the time.

Black Cleaver-Trinity Force Icon

Black Cleaver / Trinity Force is core on Tank Shaco because it increases your damage output by a lot and just every stat you get from this item is nice for Shaco.

Boots

Berserker's Greaves Icon

Use Berserker’s Greaves as they work well for stacking Conqueror faster.

Mercury's Treads Icon

Use Mercury’s Treads against high CC enemies to reduce the duration of stuns, slows, roots, etc.

Ninja Tabi Icon

Use Ninja Tabi against enemy team compositions that have assassins or critical damage based champions. This will block some of their damage.

Dead Man's Plate Icon

Team Focused Situational Items

Abyssal Mask Icon

If you want to deal more magic damage while having some protection, you can build Abyssal Mask. Enemy champions near you take 15% more magic damage. This greatly helps if you have a fed magic damage dealer in your team.

Redemption Icon

If you want to assist your allies healing them in teamfights, you can build Redemption. This item gives you the ability to drop a beam of light that heals your allies in an area even when you are dead.

Knight's Vow Icon

If you want to protect a carry you can build Knight’s Vow. You will bond an ally to you and whenever they receive damage you will receive part of it. This will save them from getting instantly killed, while also healing you when your bond ally auto-attacks an enemy.

After level 3, max E and then max Q or W depending on the situation. If you are snowballing or just need the elusiveness, max Q second.

Shaco's Abilities

Passive - Backstab

This is what makes Shaco great when hiding from the enemy. He uses the opportunity to always go behind the target to increase the damage of his auto-attack and E (Two-Shiv Poison). Utilize the passive by always blinking in advance of the enemy.

Q - Deceive

Shaco doesn’t usually take Flash as a spell. Instead, he uses Ignite to deal more damage. Deceive is your only blinking ability to avoid and escape enemies through invisibility. You can also remain invisible while placing your W (Jack in the Box) and activating your ultimate (Hallucinate) to fake your clone towards your target.

W - Jack In The Box

When ganking lanes, always place a box at the back of your targets. This fears them back towards your allies. AP and supportive Shaco deals a heavy amount of damage with this ability. It is also your main clearing ability for jungle camps in the early game.

E - Two-Shiv Poison

This is your only ranged ability, and it slows the target hit. Don’t forget that the damage increases when you throw the dagger to an enemy walking away from you. Use this to get closer to your targets before you maximize your auto-attacks for assassin / anti-tank / tank builds, or throw it as a killing blow to make sure the target dies.

R - Hallucinate

This is what Shaco uses to become a demon jester to his targets. You can fool your enemies when you know how to throw them off their game with your ultimate. When they are chasing you, you can click S on the real Shaco and let them chase your clone away from you. You can also use this ability to burst enemies in the middle of the fight when using AP and supportive Shaco, as it scales with ability power.

Shaco Power Spikes

A power spike is when a champion reaches a level or builds an item that makes them a lot stronger than other champions in the game. Shaco’s power spike comes when he reaches level 3, because he gets all his 3 abilities to deal damage to his targets early on. Tiamat and Berserker’s Greaves are an item spike to AD Shaco because you can clear camps insanely fast with them. Another power spike is getting his 3 core items that will one-shot pretty much any squishy champion. The biggest power spikes for AP and supportive Shaco are getting his jungle item, max his CDR, and acquiring Rabadon’s Deathcap. The anti-tank build boosts his damage when getting his first 2 items, and the tank Shaco has his power spike when he gets Cinderhulk and a Black Cleaver / Trinity Force.

Jungle Path of Shaco

These routes provide the best ganking potential Shaco can have as a jungler.

Start to set boxes at 0:50.

Fast top lane / bot lane ganking route:

2 boxes on raptors > 1 box in front of Red Brambleback.

Clear Raptors and take red buff. After that, clear your Krugs and head to the lane on your side. After the gank you can counter-jungle or head mid lane, etc.

Midlane ganking route:

2 boxes on Red Brambleback > 1 box on Krugs (ask for leash).

Clear both camps and set a box at Raptors. Attack each small raptor two times so they will die from box and talisman. Then gank mid and go to a side lane or counter-jungle, or even go back into your own jungle.

Full clear into top / bot route:

2 boxes on Blue Sentinel if top side, 1 if bot side > 2 boxes on Gromp / 1 box on Gromp (ask for leash).

Take blue buff > clear Gromp and smite it > Wolves > Raptors > Red Brambleback > Krugs > gank / Rift Scuttler.

Then counter-jungle or spam ganks until your camps are up again.

This pathing is really good if you can’t gank any of your lanes when they are level 2 and gives you a good start into the game.

How To Play Shaco

Early Game

Shaco can be played differently depending which playstyle you are applying. Your goal first is to get to level 3 as fast as possible and get all your abilities ready before ganking. When using the tank bruiser builds, you want to focus on ganking a lot, and generally counter-jungling or killing the enemy jungle. As AD/AP you still do the same but you are more focused on farming, rather than permanently trying to gank. This will help you to get your core items to burst squishy targets in the mid game. Shaco is a deceiver and should be played as one. Focus on your build and smack the enemies with your damage.

Mid Game

Shaco isn’t that effective at the late game, and that is why mid game is the opportunity for you to take the game from the enemy and do as much as possible to win the game. Taking souls, Rift Herald, and Baron, are a must and should be prioritized. AD Shaco focuses on objectives and assassination, while AP Shaco is more team-focused, and bruiser is more fighting-focused. Always try to kill the most fed enemy or just their carry/main damage dealer. As AP try to peel your carry while using your clone to distract, or use it as an AoE explosion+fear, and use E and Q to poke and outplay. As tanky bruiser you just want to sit on the enemy carry and try to annoy him as much as you can, even killing him if possible. As anti-tank you prefer to kill the front line with your damage and let your assassin or whoever else kill the carry

  • Split-pushing – If you have to split-push with Shaco, do it. He is a great split-pusher and the auto-attack stats of your clone are the same as the original. So when you push, it will be as if two people were taking the turret.

  • Objective control – Take as many objectives as possible. Shaco finds the late game a little bit difficult, so getting all the buffs to boost him will help him be better in that phase. Always place your W (Jack in the Box) around the bushes near Dragon, as it will fear champions that try to face-check. Your clone can help pushing, but it can also be used as a way to annoy and zone the enemy carry.

Late Game

Playing Shaco during the late game is pretty much the same as playing him in the mid game. You want to assassinate the carries of the enemy team when you are using the AD build. You can burst their team with the AP build while fearing them with your clone. And your tanky bruiser build will be a nuisance to the enemy carry all the way. This effectively protects your own damage dealers, so they can kite and burst the frontline tanks. AD build with 3 items can solo the Baron Nashor, so you can communicate with your allies and pressure the enemies with a 4-1 split push where you are taking Baron while they push bot or mid, giving you a win-win situation. This will boost your chances of winning the game, and it will provide more damage to you. Use a different playstyle depending on the matchup and what your team will need upon champion select. This will create synergies with your allies and ultimately a victory.

Shaco Tips And Tricks

  • Use Tiamat right after Q if you use your Q for mobility in the jungle (jumping walls, etc.) to get it back up faster.
  • You can dodge a lot of spells and skillshots with your ultimate, so learn to time it right.
  • Clone procs effects like Duskblade and Black Cleaver, and abuses the HoB bug!
  • If you die early on you can buy the jungle item and solo Dragon at level 4 or 5 with 2 smites up. This is really unexpected, and can help you get back into the game.
  • Use your Q to jump over walls when ganking.
  • Abuse the slow of your E and wait until you can use it as an execute.
  • You can use boxes to block skillshots like hooks, which is insane against champions like Blitzcrank, or to block CC (for example, Xerath’s E).
  • At the start of the game, run to your red buff and place a box in the bush right at the entrance of your jungle, or if you start blue or expect an invade there, set it in the bush right in front of the river, so you have an extra fear if the enemies invade. This provides vision as well.
  • Use your items for damage. People often don’t use their Tiamat for damage, so please think of that!
  • Play around your boxes early on.
  • Tell your team to cover your buffs.
  • Always look at your Duskblade effect above your HUD to see if the area is warded or if the enemies can see you.

Shaco Gameplay

These below videos are great gameplay examples for how to play Shaco. Coming soon.

Frequent Mistakes/Noob Traps

These are things most Shaco players do that shouldn’t be done at a high level ELO.

Mistake #1 – Not abusing boxes playing around them. Your W (Jack in the Box) is a great tool that can turn the tables in your favor. Use it to provide a CC out of nowhere to your targets. It can also be use to provide vision similar to Teemo’s mushrooms.

Mistake #2 – Item choices. Most low ELO players focus only on building AD Shaco, which reduces his effectiveness. Maximize his potential by carefully reading the available build choices you can use in different team matchups in the champion select phase.

Mistake #3 Precision second. Taking this as a secondary tree is a bad move. It doesn’t do anything for you early on and takes too long to stack meanwhile anything else just does something early for you.

Mistake #4 Not using ultimate for damage. Hallucinate can be used to turn any game if you learn how to maximize its damage. Your clone can burst enemies when you are going AP Shaco. Your clone also maximize your auto attacks in teamfights. Whatever current damage you have when you used your ultimate it copies it. Never forget this, as it will help you in teamfights.

Mistake #5 – Generally not abusing your limits. Shaco players just use him to assassinate targets. He is a versatile champion and should be treated like one. Know the variety of builds and use their potential on different matchups.

Mistake #6 – Not abusing your Q as blink. You can use it to jump over big walls and surprise enemies when ganking.
